MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD

The Pinecrest Board has again made communication with stockholders a priority for 2010.  We have always been, and will continue to update our contact information of all stockholders – both active and inactive.  It would be of great help to provide information regarding inactive stockholders, such as updated addresses, phone, or email information. You may forward that information to, or have them contact Michael Mueller, at mmueller4@woh.rr.com, or the  phone contact information listed below. Having an updated listing of members is the best way for us as an organization to provide the necessary information to people about changes and upgrades being made to the pool!

We are looking at sending newsletters, reminder information, and any other worthwhile information to members via email.  This allows us to obviously reduce our expenses for copying and postage and use those monies in other areas that benefit the pool and membership.  Therefore, please make sure you provide a current email address with your registration for future correspondence.

After FOUR years of NO increases, the Board reluctantly decided to increase all annual membership fees for 2010. These increases are the minimum required to keep the club in a reasonably healthy financial position. Our expenses are higher because the federal and state minimum wage laws for all hourly employees have increased each of the last two years, pool chemical costs increased, the pool drains had federally required safety upgrades last year, the pool heater required improvements to pass inspection, the septic tank required maintenance, the baby pool shelter roof required repair, the club house is in need of painting this year, and the pool will need painting again next year. Our operating budget for the upcoming 2010 year is going to determine the repairs, maintenance, and projects we are able to complete for our club.

Businesses interested in becoming a sponsor for the Pinecrest pool and swim team should contact Michael Mueller, Chris Caldwell, and Tom Stafford for details. There are several levels from which to choose, from a full size banner and lane sponsor down to website links for door prizes/donations for our social events. We are always looking for new sponsors and are interested in providing an advertising opportunity for your company.
